Complex has just released Kristi's latest project, Eighty-Sixed. From Cazzie David and Elisa Kalani, Eighty-Sixed features Cazzie as Remi, a neurotic, semi-narcissist who, across several episodes ranging four-to-eight minutes, tries to "win" her break-up with the help of her friends Lily (Kristi Lauren) and Owen (Owen Thiele). But social media and technology—and, again, her own neurosis—keep thwarting every attempt.
This just in: Hundreds of submissions from all over the world came into DC Web Fest, but it was Kristi and the Mimosas with #Millie team who snagged the Silver Award for Web Series at DC Web Fest. Congrats Kristi!
Last night, Kristi attended the opening of 'The Female Gaze… Don’t grab me, I am not an object.' The show explores the repression of women throughout history and the strides which have been made in the female favor. We are asking viewers to eliminate the Madonna/Whore complex and to view woman as sexual human beings instead of sexual objects, empowering the feminine divine.
Kristi is wearing a Reformation jumpsuit paired with some of her vintage favorites. Lauren has just wrapped production on EIGHTY-SIXED, a web series written by Cazzie David and Elisa Kalani. David and Kalani's debut, Eighty-Sixed is a single camera comedy about surviving heartbreak in your 20's.
Cheers! Mimosas with #Millie has been nominated at Vancouver Web Fest 2017 for Best Comedy and Kristi Lauren has been nominated for Best Actress. Wish her luck!
Produced by High Noon Pictures, Lauren plays Amber in single camera sketch pilot The Daily Stream opposite Mat Wright and Olivia DeLaurantis. Also starring in this pilot presentation are Cameron Mouléne and Noelle Fink.
Kristi Lauren has began filming AESOP: a short film (turned feature in 2017) about a man whose job is to decide who gets a special new life-saving drug, only to find that the woman he loves must be rejected for it. Lauren will play Marie, the outgoing and quirky protagonist who will stop at nothing to save the man she cares about most when he gets abducted.
